Well it had to happen at some time, and being that I have finally have some time from the daily grind that is life, it might as well be today. That is, time for my first post on my new website.

I have been working hard renovating my home as I get it ready for sale, but with my lousy luck, it took longer than expected, cost much more than I expected, and was finally ready when the markets around the world are going down the toilet. My rotten luck.

I’m not sure how long my home will now sit on the market, but being that in my local area there have never been so many homes on the market at one time – so it could be a while. Guess that gives me more time now for the other things in life – like finding a life partner.

Finding someone to share your life with is no easy manner for the obvious reasons, and in my case, I also work from home – alone. It makes finding single women very hard. I also live in a very conservative town where the most eligible women are married off in their early twenties. For those of us outside that age-bracket, there are slim pickings to say the least. Good thing I like a challenge!

Tonight could present a good opportunity to meet someone as I’m off to a movie wrap party. My good friend finally got his chance to live his life’s dream, and tonight’s celebration should be a good time. I’m very happy for him – he works hard at what he loves, and his film looks like it will be a winner. There should be a certain someone at the party tonight whom I made a feeble attempt at hitting on, but she shot me down in burning flames. I survived the crash, and in celebration of that, I think I will try again tonight…
