Call me old-fashioned, but I don’t even think of approaching a woman without first checking her left hand for that signifying ring.

Problem with that obviously is that some women who are engaged or married don’t always wear their ring, it could be at the cleaners or just plain lost. Then there are those women not looking for any unwanted attention wearing a ring by choice to throw off those like me who look before moving in.

I’m mentioning this because today a rather striking woman caught me looking at her hand. She was making it difficult by the angle she was at while going through a grocery checkout.  She smiled and said, “I am.” I replied with the silly line, “The good ones always are.” I’m such a tool. Next time I’m saying, “So what?”, just for the fun of it.
